After installation, we recommend re-sealing your floor with a topcoat sealer. This finishing touch will eliminate any irregularities in the sealed surface amonst the tiles AND it will sealer your grout. Saltillo Tile will sustain itself for many, many years. It is important to simply maintain the finishing sealer of your tile floor to keep the tiles in the purest form possible (eliminates dirt stains, color changes, etc).
Coming soon, STSC will offer to our customers directly, the best sealer we have found on the market. We are working with chemists in New York to develop a sealer that will not wear down with cleaning and foot traffic and it will beautifully maintain your tiles for many years with little or no maintenance (other than regular household cleaning). This incredible sealer will be available in a matte or glossy finish AND it can be custom stained in different colors! We are very excited to offer this soon and we know it will save our customers time and money!!
Our 2K and MLT sealers are proving to be a HUGE success as a finishing and protecting coat of sealer for your installed tile and grout! We now also have a lower cost option sealer with similar attributes as MLT and 2K but the life-span is not quite as long….thus a lower cost. Ask us about our WB and Green compliant sealers!
